What to Expect
You’ve booked a session, now what?
Some clients prefer to just show up while others want to know in detail what to expect. If you’re the latter, read on!
Lifestyle Sessions:
My aim is to capture high-quality images that will become cherished memories for you and your loved ones. My approach is to combine both posed shots and candid moments, as those genuine captures often end up being the favourite shots.
During our session, I will come prepared with a range of poses and offer direction as we go. Whether you're a natural in front of the camera or feeling a bit camera-shy, I will guide you through the process and do my best to make you feel comfortable. Your comfort and enjoyment are the keys to capturing authentic and beautiful photographs.
From scenic outdoor settings to cozy indoor spaces, we will take advantage of different lighting environments to create a dynamic collection of images that truly reflect your personality and the atmosphere of the moment.
Above all, I want you to relax and enjoy the experience. I understand that being in front of the camera can be intimidating for some, but rest assured that I will do everything possible to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I kindly ask you to listen to suggestions and be open to trying new things, as this will enable us to capture the most beautiful and authentic moments.
Remember, this session is not just about taking photos; it's about spending undistracted time with your loved ones and creating lasting memories. So let go of any apprehension, embrace the love and connection you share, and allow me to preserve those precious moments for years to come.
Creating a Positive and Stress-free Photoshoot Experience for You and Your Children
As an experienced photographer, I am delighted to have the opportunity to hang out with your little ones during our session. I understand that children can be unpredictable and sometimes camera shy, which is why my goal is to make the experience a positive and enjoyable one for both you and them.
First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the effort it takes to get the whole family ready and out the door for a session. It can be a stressful task ensuring that everyone looks their best and arrives on time. However, I want to assure you that I value the relaxed and authentic moments captured during our time together more than punctuality. If needed, please do not hesitate to take a few extra minutes to ensure everyone is comfortable and ready. Children tend to shine when they are not rushed or feeling overwhelmed.
To prepare your children for the session, I encourage you to have a conversation with them beforehand. Let them know that this will be a fun experience where we get to spend time together and capture some beautiful memories. This will help them feel excited and engaged during the shoot.
Upon your arrival, I kindly request that you allow me to guide the session. While I appreciate any input or ideas you may have, it is often helpful for the children to focus on my directions and instructions. This way, I can ensure that we capture their natural expressions and interactions without any distractions.
If your child has a special stuffed animal or blanket that holds sentimental value, I would be more than happy to include it in some of the photos. However, I suggest saving it for the end of the session, so it does not dominate every photograph. This way, we can capture a variety of images that showcase your child's personality and unique qualities.
In conclusion, my aim is to create a positive and stress-free environment during our photoshoot. I know how important it is for both you and your children to feel comfortable and at ease. By allowing me to guide the session, having a conversation with your children beforehand, and considering the inclusion of special items towards the end, we can ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience that results in beautiful photographs for you and your family.
Looking forward to our time together!
